What it is that you guys eat? I'd love to know how you eat being (probably) busy parents. Eating on the go or when you have a baby to worry about is sometimes a challenge!

You're right about the bagels. We're fairly careful about how many carbs we take in, but honestly, its not our main focus. We work on making sure every meal is balanced... such as "if i eat this much bread i need to eat this much meat, and it'd be nice if i could eat the same amount of a veggie and fruit as well" and its worked really well for us!

We make our own sweets, which is really the key. Splenda is our friend, and we use it often. We've converted all of our favorites... banana pudding, cake, chocolate chip cookies... all over to sugar free. It means less calories in our sweets, but you still have to watch your portion size. I've been known to put down WAY too many cookies in a night just because they're sugar free... can't do that. :)
Also, ice cream is easy... lots of options there, I prefer blue bunny (carb conscious) and breyers sugar free. We also keep sugar free pudding in the house for a little sweet fix. Its a perfect serving!

My husband's dietitian gave us a rule of thumb to stick to: 5 grams of sugar or less to lose weight, 10 if you're just trying to maintain your weight.
